Teri Oaks Email dated: 3 Nov 1999: "He had about three plantations in Nachogdoches area, best I recall, and most of his estate was sold off because here was no way to divided evenly among his heirs. (He died without a will.) I think it averaged out to about $3000.00 an heir..... I have a copy of the marriage bond between John Day and Ferribee Bulloch; a copy of the marriage record between Stephen Day and Hobbs; by the way, her brother Eli Holley Hobbs was the executor of Stephen Day's will."
