Notes for Johann Adam Diel
Working back, Nicholas TEEL (16 Jun 1761-10 Jan 1821) was born in York PA to Johann Adam DIEL
(yes, they changed the spelling considerably) (Apr 1734 Homberg, Germany-Before 1809 Franklin
Co., VA) and Maria Magdalena BURCHERT (16 Oct 1740 York Co., PA - before 1809 Franklin Co.,
VA). I have these lines worked back several generations in Germany. We think Nicholas TEEL's wife name was Priscilla (last name unknown)

Johann Adam Diel b. -- Apr. 1734, son of the late Adam and Maria Cathain Diel from "Hornerich an der Mosel [= 6759 Homberg] rheingrawisch in der Pfaltz." He came to America with his parents in 1739. He married 17 June 1760 maria Magdalena, daughter of the late Paul Burckert and Anna Eva. Maria Magdalena was born in the land 16 Oct. 1740.
