Notes for Charlotte Helen Coursey

Charlotte Helen Coursey's picture is in the "Pictorial History of Polk Co."! (My Houston sister got the book for Xmas -- it's $28, & can be bought at the Polk Co. Museum in Livingston.) She doesn't look esp. dark, but DOES have dark hair, a fairly narrow face, & high cheek bones. Carson also provided evidence that there were some Cherokee Texas Indians named Sears. Charlotte's mother being Nancy Sears, could very well prove that she was part Cherokee Indian as family lore tells. (See notes for Nancy Sears)
