The land description of William Stephens, Bladen Co., NC, 1740, comes close to matching the land description of land that Barnabas Stephens sold in Cumberland Co., NC, sometime in the 1860s.

Information on Barnabus and Progeny obtained through email correspondance from Myra Sims .
"I have John B STEVENS estate papers, bible records, Mary STEVENS will.
Henry STEPHENS estates papers (Jan 1842, Warren Co., MS) that says "heirs
of Jn B. STEPHENS" marriage and deaths from MISSISSIPPI NEWSPAPERS Vol 3: 1813-1850
Says John B. STEVENS , Esq died age 63 was a native of Columbus Co., NC
and emigrated to Warren Co about 1810. (Oct 25, 1842).
John B. STEVENS sons are all family names in the STEPHENS family in
Columbus Co., NC"....

"Thought you would like to know John Brown STEVENS father was William
STEPHENS, mother Elizabeth GREEN. Grandfather Barnabus STEPHENS/STEVENS, Grandmother Charity BROWN. I saw you had a BIRD. Charity BROWN STEPHENS grandmother was a BIRD."
