Notes for Alexander Gillespie

Alexander's obituary says he had been in Louisiana and Mississippi since 1814.

There is a "Widow Riter" listed in the household of Elick Gilaspy in the 1820 Washington Parish, LA Census as well.

There is info on the Gillespie, Ritter, and Blocker families in a Book titled: GILLESPIE, by Hazel Gillespie Hilton, 3111 Norrish Dr., Houston, TX 77025-3831.
